As Trinidad and Tobago’s leading media corporation, Caribbean Lifestyle (CL) Communications Limited is comprised of four FM stations: Music Radio 97.1FM; Ebony 104.1FM Heartbeat 103.5FM and The People’s Station, Radio 90.5FM; and one television station, I.e.TV on Cable Channel 1.
Apart from its involvement in traditional media, Caribbean Lifestyle Communications is also an Events Management company and has hosted seminars with distinguished speakers such as Dr. Philip Kotler; Al and Laura Ries; and Professor Don Schultz. However, our company’s potential is evident as the producers and event managers of the Plymouth Jazz Festival Tobago which has included performers such as Stevie Wonder, Sting, Elton John, Diana Ross, Patti La Belle and many others. Within three years of the staging of this world-class three-day concert event, CL Communications has made it one of the world’s most prominent concert events on the annual calendar. CL Communications Ltd is also involved in film and video production via its production house, VA Films. VA Films (formerly Video Associates) has worked with recognized film-makers such as Merchant and Ivory on the 35-mm film adaptaion of the V.S. Naipual novel, “Mystic Masseur”. VA has also done “Shells”, and “Club Dead.com” for the foreign film markets. In 2007, VA also worked on the Bollywood flick, “Dulha Mil Gaya” starring Sushmita Sen, Shah Rukh Khan and Fardeen Khan, written and directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Vivek Vaswani. Executive Director of Dulha Mil Gaya and CEO of Caribbean Lifestyle Communications says that the Bollywood venture was key to showing India’s film industry the potential of Trinidad and Tobago for co-productions.
